An RDF/OWL version of the XBRL Ref schema. Ref defines string substitution Groups for linkbase part. This is to link elements to their documentation type (appendic, article, footnote etc). Ref must not be confused with the 2008 specification for Generic Reference, which is to link elements within the taxonomy. The ontology implements the Ref types as defined classes equivalent to xsd:string AND linkbase:PartDatatype.

owl:Ontology

The ontology is a direct conversion of the XBRL ref schema file (see owl:versionInfo). The purpose is bi-directional for RDF instance files that include an XBRL taxonomy: To read XBRL data files into FinRegOnt and to create XBRL instance data files from the ontology.
